Sometimes I ask myself…why a business designing flowers?
Where did this passion come from? The beautiful growth I’ve seen in my heart and my faith stems from a deep loss. In 2017, we lost our second baby through a miscarriage. Overwhelmed as I was by this immense pain, the Lord showed me his faithfulness as I began to hope for what was
to come. We were in the process of renovating a house from the 70s ourselves. I found myself drawn to the garden there, though at the time, “forest” may have been a more accurate term! These overgrown, untamed bushes, trees, and grasses became an
unexpected place of healing for me. I learned to cultivate the ground by stripping away what wasn’t healthy…simultaneously, the Lord was doing the same to my heart. It took pruning and consistent tending in order to see change. It took patience to
learn from failure. After several seasons, I began to see the beauty of the work that had been done, not just in my garden, but in myself.
White Brick Floral grew from our cozy new home, but that’s just the start of our story. I take great joy in sharing the growth of my business with our clients. I see floral design as not just a pretty piece to put on your table or to decorate your wedding; these designs are an outward expression of God’s faithfulness to His children. Each flower in your design was planted, cultivated, pruned, picked with careful consideration and designed with you in mind. Thank you for letting my story be a part of yours.
